Summer Holidays and Brentwood Literary Festival

It’s finally the summer holidays!

And it was typical summer holiday weather when I went down toBrentwood Literary Festival this week. There was a big thunderstorm! Still that didn’t stop some brave people venturing out to meet me and we had a lot of fun.

The pic is me with super-reader, Sophie. I’m holding ‘Toilet Mole’. If you want to know who ‘Toilet Mole’ is you’ll have to come and see me at another event!

The festival is arranged by Chicken and Frog Bookshop – a super shop with tons of lovely books for young people. I could spend all day in there. If you’re in Brentwood, pop in and say hello to them.

Spring School Visits and other Events!

The sun is shining – it’s springtime and I’m very much looking forward to the new term! I have a whole busload, no maybe even a trainload?of school visits lined up! If I’m not visiting your school, I’m sorry? – perhaps I’ll be along soon.?(I am available to visit any school, anywhere, so if you’d like a visit, you need to persuade your teacher to get in touch via the ‘Contact Me’ section!)

I’m also going to be at the BooksEast Book festival in Ipswich on the 14th May. This is a ticketed event – tickets are available here BooksEast

I’m very excited because Francesca Simon is going to be there on the same day. I think Horrid Henry would get on so well with Gross-out Gavin!

I’m also going to be at the Felixstowe Book Festival on 25th June. This event is aimed at anyone age 12+ who’d like to?be a writer. I’m joined by Hayley Long, YA author and Hannah Shepherd, Literary Agent. Tickets are here Felixstowe Book Festival

If I don’t get the chance to meet you some time this summer, you can always contact me with any questions or comments?(via the ‘Contact Me’?section – clever that!)

Enjoy the sunshine!
